The Cadillac Eldorado was produced in 12 different generations from 1952 to 2022.They were always the choice of celebrities recognised for their luxury appointments, ride quality, scale, and sheer presence on the road.

We have the pleasure in bringing to market what can only be described as a stunning and cherished 1976 Eldorado Convertible.

If you want a wonderful and original example of this iconic Cadillac, then this ticks all the boxes.

Our car was produced in 1976 at the Detroit plant in Cotillion White with the option of Antique Light Blue Leather trim as confirmed by its original VIN and Body Number plates, and this is how the car still presents today.

The car arrived in 2003 to Michelton QLD and remained local since then with just one subsequent owner. Documents confirm in the US the car was owned by a Cary J Sherin back to at least 1984 and we believe he may have been its original owner.

1976 was the last of the breed for the Cadillac Eldorado Convertible with its famed 8.2 litre V8. At the time it was in great demand, many being bought by collectors. For its final year it featured all round disc brakes along with other design updates including distinctive wheel covers featuring a jewel-like Cadillac wreath and crest emblem, surrounded by a field of black to add distinction to the 1976 models. Again, our car has these rare and original items.

The paint and body are just excellent with only a few minor imperfections. The original paint quality was clearly superb and has stood the test of time well. All the panel gaps are perfect.

All the brightwork is in incredible condition and sets the car off beautifully. Its hard to imagine the chrome is over forty years old which is testament to the original build quality.

The interior of the car is just lovely with everything as it should be. We can see from old invoices that the carpets were replaced some 20 years ago and look fabulous with their Cadillac crests. The original steering wheel greets you and the dash and dials are something that just looks perfect to the eye. The dash is perfect without any cracks, and all the seats are in great order without holes or tears while showing some gentle wear marks. The dash and gauges look very sharp, and even the digital clock works perfectly! As expected, there are some interesting features which capture the attention including the temperate guage integrated into the drivers mirror! This also works too.

The car has benefitted from some recent expenditure totalling almost $10,000 including work to brakes, suspension, new tyres (including the spare), replacement belts, carb rebuild, interior trim, exhaust muffler and power steering. As a result, the car presents and drives beautifully.

The roof is in perfect condition without any marks and powers up and back without issue. The glass for the roof looks like new without a single mark on it.

Turn the key and the engine fires up easily to a discrete burble. Out on the open road this car is just superb, and the sense of comfort is quite amazing. It is a real head turner, and it certainly makes a statement with some serious road presence!

The steering is accurate and smooth and for a car of its size it handles surprisingly well. As expected, the engine is very responsive and pulls and pulls. The sense of power is effortless.

The engine bay is clean and incredibly well kept. The boot is spotless, and the underside is as good as it is on top.

A good history and folder of invoices accompanies the car along with its original keys and hard to find Cadillac 8 Track tape player. It also comes with an excellent fitted car cover and original work shop manual.

These Cadillacs are great cars, and finding one in this original but excellent condition is rare. One to buy and enjoy a wonderful American icon.
